The mission of the Morley Indians is to foster and promote cultural and social interactions among the members of the Indian community and all those interested in Indian culture and heritage.
Aim:
- The Morley Indians Association aims to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Morley, Tingley, Drighlington, Churwell, Gildersome and other areas of Leeds and the neighbourhood, in particular those of Indian origin, without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions by promoting:
- Good relations in a multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-faith society
- Indian culture and history either independently or jointly with other organisations, and,
- Provision of information with questions about schools, housing, hospitals and other day-to-day problems.
- We plan to build a community centre in future so we can all have a space to gather and celebrate

Indian Culture & organising Different Cultural and other Activities Catering to Families of Indian Origins :
In the last few years a large number of Information technology, medical and other professionals from India moved in to Morley, Tingley, Churwell and surrounding areas in Leeds. These families of Indian origin would love to celebrate the different Indian festivals and keep the ties with our rich cultural heritage. Our aim is to have community celebration of different Indian festivals including and not restricted to Diwali, Holi and New year. We would invite local people to the festival celebrations for fostering integration and increasing awareness of rich cultural heritage India has. We plan to run different activities for families including and not restricted to Bollywood dance, Indian classical dance forms, Indian cooking classes, Indian classical music, chess club, comedy nights, sports competitions and business coaching
Supporting Social Cause :
We would like to support social causes like education and reuse instead of using disposables. We will create awareness in community for reduction of plastic by giving alternatives.
